i have bought samsung gt-s8500 three days ago and i can't sync it with kies. i have downloaded the latest version of kies and installed it, i have set my phone to kies in the connectivity menu - usb and when i try to connect i read in my phone screen connected but on the other screen of my pc (windows xp) after kies is opened i keep waiting reading connecting... but in vain. nothing happens no matter how long i wait. if i click contacts in widget bar below the screen of kies, contact manager window opens and in the middle i read your phone does not support this feature. i also read in a forum that no more than 2 applications must be running simultaneusly so i left two in the task manager. i don't know if i should get usb drivers for xp in order to regognize the phone or should i do something else? i need to mention also that my pc was bought in 2002 and the usb are not version 2.0 but the previous one, i think version 1.2 whatever that means to someone. thank you
