the motorola v8 is not a tri band but a quad band phone. it will work on any standard network except 3g. so it will work in brazil and the us as long as you have a contract with a local phone company.

hi, i have bought a new motorola razr v8 which was unlocked by the seller. while everything is fine, i have one problem with the sms dictionary. every time i want to type a message and when i turn on the built-in itap dictionary, it does not recognize any of my words. ex: when i type anything say i type the letter 'a', it does not recognize it, but it shows me a message on the top saying 'new word?'. this has made me very difficult send a message as i have to type every letter. please help. - harsha
