0well, here it is 11-8-11 and i am running 2.3.6 . i just buhogt my phone a couple months ago and am having this random freezing / rebooting issue. i have searched and searched, cannot find any fix for this problem. i didn't get the extra service plan from my provider, so i f i want to send it to samsung i have to pay my carrier 100 bucks just to have them send it and have it looked at, not really an option, as i just spent over 500 total for the phone and all .is there a clear resolution to this issue somewhere? i can't seem to find one . if it turns out that sending to the manufacturer will definitely fix the issue then i'll make it happen. problem with that is every post i've read people say that sending it back didn't fix it and in a lot of cases made it worse.

i have a cable that connects my phone to my computer do i need any software to download the text messages onto my computer
